Our Mission
Our goal is to provide a richer educational experience for children and a more fulfilling practice for educators in the Middle East. Our commitment to theoretically sound, practice-based training of teachers and administrators, our dedication to filling our clients’ educational needs, and the daily practice of our principles and values enable us to create, support and sustain change in the educational systems we assist.
Founded in 1993 in Ontario, Canada, Keys to Effective Learning first offered international educational consulting services in Pakistan and Cyprus. In 1995, Keys experienced a period of rapid growth, and opened an office in Cairo, Egypt.
We now provide educational and training services to both private and public school systems in Egypt, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. In 2002, Keys joined the Alexandria Initiative for Educational Reform, and since that time, we have participated in several USAID-sponsored education reform projects, including the Technology in Education Project with Partners for a Competitive Egypt (PfCE), Technology for Improved Learning Outcomes (TILO), Girls’ Improved Learning Outcomes (GILO), and the Egypt Education Reform Project (ERP).
Additionally, Keys has expanded its services to include the development and implementation of student leadership programs in schools and universities, and the support of women’s entrepreneurship and other micro-business training efforts.
At Keys, we pride ourselves in the professional and cultural diversity of our team. Our unique blend of cultures, expertise and experience is a hallmark of our identity and a key to our success. Together, we offer a complete, balanced and multidisciplinary approach to facilitate learning for people with various needs.
Our team of experts includes educational leaders with experience ranging from Early Childhood through Post-Graduate Studies. Included in the group are specialists in Reading, Curriculum, Training, Adult Learning, Technology, ESL/Second Language Learning, International Education and School Administration.
Keys’ staff, consultants and partners represent several nationalities as well as the various regions within Egypt.
